NANOFLON™ PTFE Colloidal Dispersions
Our growing line of NANOFLON dispersions features submicron PTFE particles dispersed in your choice of mineral oil, polyisobutene, polyalphaolefin or water. The particles are small enough to pass through the finest filter pores and are extremely stable in suspension. The dispersions offer outstanding lubricity versus oil alone and “stir in” convenience in compatible formulations. Applications: Gear oils, penetrants, cutting oils and other fluid lubricants.

NANOFLON™ PTFE M020: A stable, submicron 20% dispersion in mineral oil

NANOFLON™ PTFE PIB25: A stable, submicron 25% dispersion in polyisobutene excellent for low temperature applications

NANOFLON™ PTFE PA030: A stable, submicron 30% dispersion in polyalphaolefin excellent for low and high temperature applications

Fluoro™PTFE Micronized Powders
These premium grade PTFE powders are suited for use as dry lubricants or thickening agents in specialty greases and pastes. They feature particle sizes as small as 1-2 microns. When formulated with oil, silicone, water or fluoropolymer lubricants, our Fluoro PTFE additives provide superior dispersibility. Applications: Automotive, industrial, military and aerospace lubricants. Also suitable for use with food processing equipment.

Incorporation Tips

Dispersions for Fluid Lubricants:
A key benefit of our NANOFLONTM PTFE additives is that they are easy to use. They are predispersed, stabilized and feature extremely small particle sizes. As such, they are easy to incorporate by just stirring into the lubricant. Our NANOFLON products are available in your choice of mineral oil, synthetic oil (polyisobutene / polyalphaolefin) or water. Recommended addition level is 0.5% to 3% (wt/wt on a PTFE solids basis) depending on performance requirements.

Micronized PTFEs for Greases:
PTFE requires shear to be adequately dispersed into oil. Best results may be achieved using a colloid mill or other high shear milling system. Check the dispersion on a grind gauge to ensure that the PTFE particles have been properly deagglomerated. Recommended addition levels range from 3% to 40%.
