Optimized for Full Range of Inks and Coatings
Newark, N.J.
(May 23, 2001) - New Shamrock S-320 premium polyethylene (PE)
alloy is optimized to provide a balance of slip, gloss retention and
mar/abrasion resistance in a single grade. Made exclusively from miscible
grades of PE, it is engineered for general-purpose use in the full
range of inks and coatings: solvent-based, waterbased, UV monomer
and dry powder systems. It also offers outstanding performance with
any curing system.
An extension
of the company's S-Series PE Waxes, Shamrock S-320 PE alloy
is a white, free-flowing powder with a five-micron particle size for
easy stir-in dispersibility. It is extremely stable in dispersion,
even if high-speed mixing techniques are employed. In addition, the
new wax alloy features a high softening point (231°F/110°C)
and high melting point (254°F/123°C) for excellent insolubility
in solvents and resins.
